The town of Leamington is a southern Ontario municipality in Essex County. It is also near Point Pelee National Park and Pelee Island.
Leamington is known as the "Tomato Capital of Canada" and has a large H.J. Heinz Company factory within the town limits. Leamington also claims to be the "Sun Parlour" of Canada due to its southern location and warm climate.
Leamington is also known for its abundance of greenhouses, road side stands and has approx 7,485 migrant seasonal workers.
Leamington is an old established town since 1876. In 1908 H.J. Heinz Company came to town bringing jobs and contributing to its growth.
Leamington and Kingsville share the feryy service to Point Pelee and Sandusky Ohio.
